DMAMCHRC established the Institutional Forum for Women in 2017 to provide guidance and support to women, promote gender equality, and eliminate discrimination. The forum aims to create a conducive work atmosphere and strengthen redressal systems.
Objectives
The Institutional Forum for Women and Internal Complaint Committee work together to:
- Support Women's Wellbeing: Provide resources and services for women's physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Promote Economic Empowerment: Ensure equal enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms for women.
- Create Equal Opportunities: Promote equal access to participation and decision-making for women.
- Promote Women's Health: Ensure equal access to healthcare, education, and social security.
- Foster Gender Equality: Strengthen redressal systems to eliminate discrimination against women.
- Advocate for Policy Change: Sensitize and involve both men and women in promoting gender equality.
Activities
– Conduct programs and workshops on gender equality and women’s empowerment
– Observe special days for women
– Select gender champions from each batch of students
– Collaborate with civil society and women’s organizations to promote gender equality and eliminate discrimination.
