Preamble 

The Anti-Ragging Cell at Datta meghe Ayurvedic medical college, is dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. We strictly adhere to anti-ragging policies as per the guidelines of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, UGC, and other regulatory bodies. Our cell takes proactive and reactive measures to eradicate ragging in all its forms, promoting a culture of mutual respect, discipline, and zero tolerance for harassment. We prioritize the physical and psychological well-being of our students, ensuring a holistic and supportive environment that allows them to thrive. 

Definition of Ragging: 

Ragging encompasses a range of behaviors that harass, tease, or intimidate fellow students, particularly freshmen or juniors. This includes: 

  • Rowdy or undisciplined activities causing annoyance or psychological harm 
  • Forcing students to perform acts that cause shame or embarrassment
  • Exploiting fresher’s for academic tasks or financial extortion 
  • Physical abuse, including sexual abuse and assault 
  • Verbal abuse through spoken words, emails, or public insults 
  • Deriving sadistic pleasure from humiliating others 
  • Bullying or exclusion based on color, race, religion, caste, gender, or other factors

To prevent ragging, the institution has implemented several measures:

– Unlawful assembly and rioting

– Expulsion from the institution
