Attendance Cell
Preamble
Ensuring consistent student attendance and active participation in classes is a universal challenge for professional institutes aiming to uphold academic excellence. Our experience indicates that regular class attendance is a crucial determinant of student success, with top performers consistently maintaining attendance rates above 95%. To promote academic standards and ensure eligibility for examinations, our university has established an Attendance Cell. This cell diligently monitors student attendance across theoretical and practical/clinical classes in all constituent colleges and schools, with a focus on early identification of absenteeism and academic underperformance.
Objectives
The Attendance Cell has the following objectives:
- Monitor Student Attendance: Track attendance in theory classes, practical sessions, and clinics to ensure students meet academic requirements.
- Ensure Adherence to institutions Norms: Oversee the proper conduct of classes according to university guidelines, maintaining academic integrity and quality.
- Address Student Grievances: Provide a platform for students to raise attendance-related concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Identify and Counsel Low-Attendance Students: Detect students with low attendance and provide counseling support to help them improve their academic performance.
- Maintain Parent/Guardian Communication: Keep parents/guardians informed about their wards' attendance and progress, fostering a collaborative approach to student success
Activities
- Attendance Display: Daily and monthly attendance records are displayed for students to track their attendance and ensure they meet academic requirements.
- Grievance Redressal: Student grievances regarding attendance are addressed promptly, providing a supportive environment for students to resolve issues.
