Preamble
Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature, including physical contact, demands for sexual favors, sexually colored remarks, and other verbal or non-verbal conduct. The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, aims to ensure a safe and respectful work environment.
Objectives
The objectives of our institution’s sexual harassment policy are to
- Prohibit Sexual Harassment: Prevent and prohibit unwelcome behavior that constitutes workplace sexual harassment.
- Provide a Safe Environment: Ensure a safe working environment for women at DMAMCHRC.
- Prevent Harassment: Conduct orientation, awareness, and sensitization sessions to prevent workplace sexual harassment.
- Redress Complaints: Redress reported cases of sexual harassment.

The ICC at DMAMCHRC works to prevent and address sexual harassment.
Key activities include:
-Quarterly meetings
– Distribution of guidelines to constituent colleges
– Awareness programs for students, teaching, and non-teaching staff
– Redressal of sexual harassment complaints
Complaint Mechanism
Who can complain?
Aggrieved woman, victim’s relative, coworker, or any person with written consent of the aggrieved.
What should the complaint contain?
Description of incident, date, time, respondent’s name, and parties’ working relationship.
Redressal of the complaint: The ICC takes appropriate action to resolve the issue according to the university’s service rules.
